Avian leukosis is a type of cancer that affects birds and is caused by a virus called avian leukosis virus (ALV). This virus causes tumours in hemopoietic tissues and sarcomas, including lymphoid leukosis, myeloid leukosis, and erythroid leukosis.

 

Methodology: Immunochromatographic assay
Specimen: Avian serum, plasma or cloacal swab
Target: Avian Leukosis virus (ALV) antigen

 

Sensitivity: 91.94% VS RT-PCR
Specificity: 93.65% VS RT-PCR

Shelf life: 24 months

 

Storage

Store in a dry place at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight. If stored in the refrigerator, return to room temperature before use. DO NOT FREEZE.
