Canine pancreatitis is a common digestive system disease in dogs, characterized by inflammation of the pancreas. Its causes are varied, including high-fat diets, obesity, genetic factors, certain medications, or infections. Clinically, pancreatitis can be divided into acute and chronic forms. Acute pancreatitis has a sudden onset with severe symptoms, while chronic pancreatitis has a longer course with recurring symptoms.
Common symptoms include:
