Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is one of the most significant infectious diseases in cats. It's an immunosuppressive retrovirus that can cause a wide range of clinical signs, including immunosuppression, neoplasia, and bone marrow suppression. There is no cure, but early detection of FeLV through routine testing allows for timely management of the disease, including treating secondary infections, protecting other cats in the household, and making informed decisions about care that can significantly improve an infected cat's quality of life and longevity.

How much blood is required for a blood sample for the FeLV test?

We recommend collecting at least 0.25 ml of blood in the 0.5 ml EDTA tube.
