Indication:
Treatment of infections caused by organisms sensitive to oxytetracycline, particularly respiratory and urinary tract infections, septicaemia, mastitis and foot rot in cattle and pigs.

Contraindication:
Severe liver or kidney insufficiency. Hypersensitivity to tetracyclines.

Repeat as necessary for 2–3 injections at 24–48 hour intervals. Administer no more than 20mL at any one injection site.

Side Effects:
Occasional anaphylactic or allergic reactions can occur with the use of oxytetracycline in hypersensitive animals. Adrenaline, antihistamines and/or corticosteroids are indicated in such cases. Use of tetracyclines during the period of tooth development, including late pregnancy, may cause tooth discolouration. Intravenous injections administered too rapidly may cause cardiac arrhythmias.
